Mutual funds offer exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest primarily in physical gold with each ETF unit typically representing 1gm of gold. The equivalent physical gold (Yellow Metal) is held with the custodian bank and valued periodically, as per the Securties and Exchange Board of India’s (Sebi) guidelines. The performance of a gold ETF is benchmarked against the domestic price. Ideally, the returns from the scheme should match that of the benchmark.
Gold Silver Reports (GSR) – Gold prices today fell sharply in India, mirroring a big decline in global prices. On MCX, gold futures for August delivery fell below the ₹34,000 per 10 gram, when they declined 1.2% to ₹33,810. The October gold contracts on MCX also fell sharply but managed to hold on to ₹34,000 level.

डब्ल्यूजीसी (WGC) के मार्केट इंटेलिजेंस के प्रमुख एलिस्टेयर हेविट के अनुसार कई देशों के सेंट्रल बैंकों की तरफ से गोल्ड की भारी डिमांड (gold demand) है। इनका मानना है कि चालू वित्तीय वर्ष में कई देशों की तरफ से गोल्ड की मांग (gold demand) बनी रहेगी।
Gold Silver Reports –Gold prices on Thursday declined by Rs. 405 to Rs. 32,385 per 10 grams on reduced buying by local jewellers, reported news agency Press Trust of India (PTI) quoting the All India Sarafa Association.
