India’s foreign exchange reserves fell by $33.2 million to $400.847 billion in the week to 17 August mainly due to fall in foreign currency assets, according to RBI data.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed forex reserves fell $1.2 billion on-week to $417.7 billion as on 11 May.

In the reporting week, the foreign currency assets, a major component of the overall reserves, rose by $657.7 million to $399.776 billion.
