Rupee Bond Traders To Await Rs 26,000 Crore T-Bill Sale

Indian bond traders will look forward to a Rs 26,000 crore ($3.5 billion) Treasury-bill sale on Wednesday. Trading volumes may be muted ahead of the central bank’s monetary policy review on Thursday.

  • 10-year yields fell 6bps to 6.81% on Tuesday.
  • USD/INR advanced 0.1% to 74.7487
  • Foreign funds sold net Rs 1,968 crore of India stocks Tuesday.
  • They sold Rs 619 crore of sovereign bonds under limits available to foreign investors, added Rs 38 crore of corporate debt.
  • State-run banks bought Rs 1,060 crore of sovereign bonds on Feb. 8: CCIL data. Foreign banks sold Rs 4,420 crore of bonds
