At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 115, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 37,981 per kg in business turnover of 86 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for March was trading higher by Rs 77, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 38,746 per kg in 39 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by participants mainly influenced silver prices in futures trade here but a weak trend overseas capped the losses.
