Reliance Group Partners with Bhutan’s DHI for Major Renewable Energy Projects, Shares Rocket

The shares of Reliance Power (NSE: RPOWER), a subsidiary of Reliance Group, were trading at ₹53.64 up by ₹2.55 or 4.99 per cent on the NSE today at 11 am, a day after Reliance Group entered into a strategic partnership with Druk Holding and Investments Ltd. (DHI), the commercial arm of Bhutan’s government, to develop significant renewable energy projects in the country. The agreement, signed on October 2, 2024, includes plans for a 500 MW solar plant and a 770 MW hydropower project.

Polycab India share price (NSE: POLYCAB): Shares of Polycab India hit a record high of Rs 7,350 per share, as they rallied 6 per cent on the BSE in Tuesday’s intra-day trade on positive outlook. Silver net speculative longs at four and half year high

Precious metals speculators yet again increased their net long positions in the Silver (XAG/USD) futures markets sharply last week, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 62198 contracts in the data reported through September 24, 2024. This was a weekly gain of 4000 net contracts and took net longs to four and half year high.

Government removes ban on non basmati rice exports

Removing a ban on overseas shipments of non-basmati white rice, the government imposed a floor price of USD 490 per tonne and exempted the commodity from export duty. Exports of non-basmati white rice had been banned since July 20, 2023.
