Gold prices Up, But down ₹1,750 from last month highs, Silver Price up
Gold prices in India edged higher today, tracking a similar movement in global rates. On MCX, December gold futures rose 0.05% to ₹38,244 per 10 gram, after a nearly 1% gain on Monday. Silver prices on MCX also moved higher by 0.20% to ₹45,886 per kg.

Gold and silver prices today fell further in India, extending their recent decline. Subdued global prices and an appreciation in rupee’s value against the US dollar put pressure on domestic gold and silver prices.

- Gold prices soared to touch a fresh lifetime high on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday after banking crises in the US and Europe triggered a return to haven buying. The yellow metal price on MCX Hit lifetime high the ₹60,455-mark per 10 grams for the first time during Monday’s trade.
